Safeguarding your privacy is serious business. Please take a minute to read the following policy so that you understand how we treat your personal information. As we update and expand our services, this policy might change, so please review it periodically.
What personally identifying information about me is collected and who collects it?
Personally identifying information, or personal information, includes your name, home or other address, e-mail address, telephone number, or any other information that tells another person who you are. We may collect personal information when you purchase products from AirVerter.com.
You should be aware that some companies that advertise on our site and or have links on our site may place cookies on your computer when you click on these links and advertisements. They may also use these cookies to develop profiles about you. AirVerter.com’s privacy statement does not address the information practices of those Web sites or advertisers.
Please Note: Whenever you voluntarily disclose personal information on message boards, in e-mails, or in chat areas, that information can be collected and used by others. If you post personal information in public places, others may send you unsolicited e-mail messages. Always be cautious about the information you provide online.
What are cookies and how does AirVerter.com use them?
How is my personal information used?
Our primary goal in gathering your personal information is to provide you with a personalized experience. Currently we do not customize the content you see based on any information you have provided.
If you are a registered customer, we will send you e-mail notices about products, companies, and events that we think might interest you. If you do not want to receive these messages, simply tell us that when you give us your personal information. Or, you can easily edit your AirVerter.com Profile to indicate that you no longer want to receive these messages. After you log in, just click on “My Account”. This will send you into the pages where you can review and modify your membership information and profile.
Special Note to Non-Member Customers
If you are a customer and choose not to become a member, we only collect personal information that is essential to fulfilling your order and notifying you of your order status. Additionally, you will automatically be added to our periodic shop email newsletter and catalog mailing lists. If you want us to remove you from these lists, you have two ways to do this: 1.) When you receive your first email newsletter, you can opt-out of future mailings from us by following the opt-out instructions in the newsletter (this is to opt out of the email newsletter only). 2.) You can contact us at info@AirVerter.com. Your message should state that you do not want to receive any emails or any catalogs from AirVerter.com.
We also may match information obtained from cookies with data provided by you. This allows us to analyze this data both in the aggregate (for example, one-tenth of our users prefer t-shirts) and in connection with individual users (for example, John Doe visits the Top Sellers Page the most). This information lets us tailor our services to your interests. We also provide the analysis of our users (as a group) to prospective partners, advertisers, and other third parties. We do this so that our advertisers and us understand your needs and interests better, which allows us keep bringing you interesting stuff free of charge.
Finally, we may disclose user information when we are required to by law, or when we have reason to believe that someone is causing injury to or interference with our rights or property, other AirVerter.com users, or anyone else that could be harmed by such activities.
