At this time we do not ship outside the USA except to APO and FPO addresses. Back to top When will I receive my order? Standard shipping is UPS ground from our Maryland factory. We also ship USPS to APO and FPO addresses. Generally UPS ground shipments arrive on the West Coast within 5 to 7 working days and to other points within the continental US in shorter periods. We can also ship UPS three-day, two-day and overnight. Back to top How much is shipping? Shipping is our actual UPS cost (we do not charge handling). While this works out great for spray guns and larger items, cleaning brushes and other small items are expensive to ship alone. Please note our minimum purchase per shipping address for both our military and commercial customers is $25. Back to top Can I pay by check? Yes you can... but a credit card is faster. We do not ship check orders until we have verified funds. This can delay shipment of orders up to two weeks. Back to top Does your site use cookies? Our site does not use cookies. Back to top Do you have a storefront we can visit? Virtually all our customers purchase via telephone, fax or the internetwe sell all our equipment factory-direct. We do not have a storefront at our plant but you are welcome to stop by and we will be happy to help you. Back to top Where can I purchase AirVerter products? We only sell factory-direct. Military customers can purchase online via DSCC. We do not use distributors. Back to top Can I try an AirVerter product? We will be happy to send you a demo unit that you may test for up to 30 days. We will charge your credit card for the full price as if the product were new. When you decide that the AirVerter product satisfies your needs just ship the undamaged item back to us and we will replace it with a new one. We will charge shipping only once. If for any reason the AirVerter product does not satisfy your needs you ship the undamaged product back to us and we will credit your credit card for the entire original amount, including shipping. This trial only applies to our Industrial Spray Finishing Equipment. Due to shipping and crating costs we cannot make PAPCE or gun washer demo units available. Back to top Which is better, HVLP (high volume low pressure) or conventional spray guns? HVLP spray guns put more material on the work and less in the air as overspray which results in less material being used. Simply put, HVLP is less expensive to use and more environmentally friendly. Moreover many new environmental laws require the use HVLP spray guns thereby eliminating the choice. Please consult the laws and regulations in your state, county and/or city and purchase the correct spray gun for your intended application. See About HVLP and About Overspray. Back to top What is HVLP? High Volume, Low Pressure is an atomizing process that uses compressed air at pressures ranging from 1-10 PSI as measured at the spray gun air cap. Back to top What is Transfer Efficiency? Simply stated, transfer efficiency can be translated as the portion of the atomized material that is actually deposited on the work piece. For instance if the transfer efficiency of a specific spray gun is 75%, it means that 75% of the material is applied to the work. The remainder is commonly referred to as overspray or waste. Back to top How big does my compressor have to be? Typically, you will need a 3-HP compressor that operates at 50 PSI and 19.4 CFM to properly supply air to a HVLP spray gun. We know of customers with 5-HP compressors that are not able to get enough free air (CFM) to operate their HVLP guns, but this is rare. Since CFM is compressor specific, you will need to refer to your compressors specifications to determine if you have enough air. An old rule of thumb is 4 CFM per HP, but this rule is not always accurate. Unfortunately we do not maintain information regarding compressor output. Please consult your owners manual or your compressor manufacturer. Back to top What size tip should I use? This is a difficult question to answer without knowing the exact material, temperature and conditions youre working in. Below you will find a guide to the different tip sizes. Please be advised that this is only a guide and you should try a needle/nozzle size above and below the recommended size to be sure you will obtain the best results. Needle And Nozzle Are A Matched SetMachined To Act As A Valve
Needle/Nozzle size expressed as a millimeter (1 millimeter = .040 (approximately)
